Volunteers
We need you!
Volunteers are vital to the mission of BMCR Ministries that is Effectively Helping People Know Christ Better. BMCR would not function if not for the many volunteers that selflessly serve every summer! We need help in the kitchen, with maintenance, as counselors, and in many other miscellaneous positions. If you have specific questions, please e-mail the staff person in your field of interest. We are grateful for the many volunteers that serve God at BMCR!
The application process
Interested in being a volunteer at BMCR this summer? Please complete the 2010 volunteer application on-line.
You must be approved through the online application process in order to volunteer at BMCR!
A member of our staff will contact you via email or phone to inform you of your status. Also, we cannot approve an application until the background check is done. When you fill out the application please print it out and mail or fax (406-328-6982) in the background check paperwork. BMCR is requiring all volunteers (including minors) to have a background check done. If you are involved in a ministry at one of our Western Conference churches and have already had a background check done in 2009, then you will not need to have one repeated for 2010. If you have not had one done through a conference church please download the background check authorization form, fill it out, and return it to us as soon as possible.
If a BMCR staff member has not contacted you, please call our Main Office at 406-328-6825 to check on your status.
REMINDER FOR ALL VOLUNTEERS
Pets are NOT allowed on the BMCR premises; we ask that you find other accommodations for your pet while you are at BMCR.
Children of Volunteers
Planning to volunteer and bring along your non-camper child for Super Summer Jr. High & High School, Family Camp, one of the Jr. Camps or Outdoor Education Science Camp? There is a fee of $75 to cover food, utilities, insurance, etc. and a separate registration for your non-camper children. What is Yellow School? Click here to find out.
There is no charge for children under the age of two; however, you are still required to register your child in the Yellow School system. BMCR is responsible for knowing how many people are on camp property at all times. In case of an emergency evacuation or crisis, BMCR needs to be able to conduct an accurate head count of everyone present. When you register your children for Yellow School, you are protecting their safety.
SPOUSES OF VOLUNTEERS
If your spouse is going to volunteer as well, they must also complete BMCR's volunteer application process. Everyone in your household who would like to volunteer is required to register separately.
If your spouse is going to join you at BMCR, but they will not be volunteering, they must register through our Yellow School program. Yellow School is the system that BMCR uses to register spouses and children of volunteers. Just like children of volunteers, it is $75 for a spouse of a volunteer to attend BMCR.
