Registration

I am having problems with the online registration system, what should I do?

Call the BMCR office at (406) 328-6825, and we will be happy to assist you.

I am not comfortable using the Internet to register, how should I proceed?

Call the BMCR Office at (406) 328-6825; we will guide you through the registration process.

Can I sign up multiple members of my household at the same time?

Yes! Once you are nearing the end of the registration process, you will be brought to a page that states on the top of the screen, "Select Another Registrant to Register", click on the drop down box & select whether you would like to "Add a New Registrant" or a name that is already in the list and a new registration form will come up. By using this method you can pay for all your household registrations at once!

Can I register my child's friend for camp?

No! Only a parent/guardian is permitted to register as they need to provide permission for their camper to attend BMCR.

When will I know about my camper's roommate request?

Roommate requests are assigned after all of the registrations are received for each camp. At time of check-in, roommate requests are known. We do our absolute best to honor each roommate request; but, occasionally we are unable to provide your request. Please remember that roommate requests are not guaranteed.

Can I pay for camp in increments?

Yes. BMCR requires a $100 deposit to reserve a camper's spot. BMCR asks that final payment be made 1 week before your camp's start date.

What is the latest I can wait to pay my camper balance?

Camper balance MUST be paid one week before your camp's start date.

How do I know that I am registered for camp?

Once you have completed the online registration form and apply payment, you will be brought to a confirmation page. You will also be emailed a confirmation. If you do not receive a confirmation, it is possible that you are not registered for camp. Please call the Main Office at 406-328-6825 and we will be happy to assist you.

What does it cost for a camp cancellation?
  1. $75 Non-Refundable fee: For all cancellations more than 2 weeks prior to your camp's start date.
  2. $100 fee: For all cancellations within 2 weeks of your camp's start date.
  3. NO REFUND: For all cancellations within 48 hours of your camp's start date.

For Parents

Is there a bus taking campers to BMCR for my child's camp?

BMCR does not offer bus rides to camp; however, some churches offer bus rides from Billings to and from BMCR for select camps at a small fee. Please contact the BMCR Main Office at 406-328-6825 and we will inform you if a church will be offering bus rides for your camp.

What is the earliest I can bring my child to camp?

The camper check-in time is the earliest that campers are permitted on the BMCR premises. This is on a per camp basis. Find your camp and arrive at the posted time.

What is the latest I can pick-up my camper?

Same as above, except you're taking your camper with you when you leave.

Mark all belongings with camper's name. Lost and found items are held for two weeks and then donated to charity.

What is my camper NOT allowed to bring to camp?

Cell phones are not allowed for campers under the age of 20. No radios/IPods/mp3 players, tobacco, fireworks, alcohol, firearms, playing cards, knives, electronic games, all clothing that is revealing, contains sexual innuendos &/or ads for alcohol or cigarettes. No pets are allowed.

How do I retrieve an item my camper left at camp?

If you would like a lost item returned to you, call the BMCR office within 2 weeks of the last day of your camp. If BMCR verifies that the lost item(s) is on the premises:

  1. BMCR will hold the lost items(s) until you are able to come and pick it/them up.
  2. BMCR will ship you the item(s) at your expense. The amount will include the shipping charges plus a $5 service fee. Once BMCR receives your payment, then the item(s) will be mailed to you.
Do I need to send spending money with my camper?

The Trading Post (formerly known as The Cavity Shack/Snack Shack) houses BMCR merchandise and concessions for cash purchase. If you do not want to send cash with your camper, you can purchase "Trading Post Dollars" on the payment page while registering online. After your camp has ended, BMCR will credit your payment method with any Trading Post Dollars that were not spent at camp.

Are campers allowed to use the phones while at camp?

Camp phones are only available if the Director for your camp gives permission for special circumstances. Otherwise, all BMCR phones including those in the Main Office are off limits to campers.

Can my camper bring their paintball gun to camp?

Yes, but only if paintball is on the schedule for your camp. At the time of check-in on arrival day, YOUR CAMPER MUST GIVE THEIR PAINTBALL GUN to a member of the Registration Team. Your camper's paintball gun will be locked up until it is needed during the allotted paintball time. During camper pick-up, your camper's paintball gun will be returned to them. Please call the BMCR Main Office at 406-328-6825 to find out if paintball will be an offered activity during your camp.

How do I get a hold of my camper in case of an emergency?

If you need to reach your camper outside of business hours for an emergency purpose, please call the Main Office number at 406-328-6825 and there will be instructions on the voicemail system on who to contact in order to reach your camper.

Can I send mail to my camper?

Yes! Our campers love to receive letters and packages! Please address your mail to:

Are parents & visitors allowed to attend Skit Night? (Super Summer, Jr. camp & Outdoor Education Science Camp)

Yes! We enjoy opening our doors for Skit Night! Here is some information to be aware of.

  • At time of check-in on the first day of camp, the Registration Team can tell you what night that week's Skit Night is planned.
  • On Skit Night, parents and visitors are permitted to be on the BMCR premises starting at 5:00 p.m. until Skit Night is over.
  • Feel free to join us for dinner on Skit Night! Dinner starts at 5:30 p.m.; the per person cost is:
    • Ages 12 & Older: $6
    • Ages 5-11: $5
    • Ages 2-4: $3
    • Under 2: FREE
  • All visitors MUST sign in at our Welcome Booth and are required to leave the BMCR property once Skit Night is over (after the parents and visitors have been dismissed).

Please call the BMCR Main Office at 406-328-6825 no later than Noon on skit day and inform us of how many people will be in your party. This helps us calculate how many to cook for! We also ask that visitors eat last to ensure enough food for campers.

Camp Specific

How do I figure out if I meet the price cap for Family Camp?

Once you enter the online registration system for Family Camp, there is a worksheet that will help you calculate the program fee for each member of your family plus the housing fee (one per family). The price cap is listed on the worksheet.

How do I select housing when signing up for Family Camp or Memorial Day Work Weekend?

At the top of the registration form, click on the Housing that you would prefer. All housing is first come, first serve.

What type of housing is offered for Horsemanship & WIT camps?

Can I bring my tools to Memorial Day Work Weekend?

Yes! If you are gifted in a particular field, feel free to bring any tools that will assist you. As the Memorial Day Work Weekend approaches; please call the Main Office at 406-328-6825 and leave a message for Warren Barnard (Facilities Director) in order to find out the projects that will be worked on and exactly what tools will be needed.

Kitchen

My camper has food allergies or is on diet restrictions, can they still attend camp?

Yes! The BMCR kitchen works very hard to accommodate all of our camper's food needs. Please complete the food allergy information on the camper registration form with all of the details the kitchen needs to be aware of. Your notes will be given to the Food Service Director so that allowances can be made for your camper ahead of time. Please call the Main Office at 406-328-6825 if you would like to discuss your camper's needs with the BMCR Food Service Director.

My camper has peanut allergies, how can BMCR prevent this from being consumed?

In the Dining Hall, it is the kitchen's policy not to serve peanuts during a camp that a peanut allergy is stated on a camper's registration form.

In The Trading Post, snacks & candy that include peanuts are sold. Your camper will need to read the label of all concessions they purchase and ask a member of the staff to be sure that they do not consume anything that contains peanuts that is for sale in the Trading Post.

Please be sure to alert us of your camper's peanut allergy on the camper registration form in the Food Allergies section. Your notes will be given to the Food Service Director so that allowances can be made for your camper ahead of time.

My camper has celiac disease, can you accommodate their food needs?

Yes! The kitchen is aware of this disease and is happy to accommodate your camper's special food needs. Please be sure to complete the Food Allergy section on the camper registration form. Your notes will be given to the Food Service Director so that allowances can be made for your camper ahead of time.

I would like to volunteer in the kitchen, are there age restrictions in the kitchen?

Trading Post (the old cavity shack)

What do the T-Shirts & Sweat shirts cost for purchase in the Trading Post?
  • The average cost of T-shirts is $14
  • The average cost of sweat shirts is $30
What else can I purchase in the Trading Post?

We sell a variety of items for purchase. This includes, but is not limited to: bandanas, water bottles, visors/hats, jewelry, toothpaste, toothbrushes, homemade soap, concessions & books.

Is the Trading Post open on arrival and departure days?

Yes, the Trading Post is open at camper arrival and departure.

When is Trading post open during camp?

The Trading Post is open at select times throughout the week for each camp. Often times, it is open during free time. The Trading Post schedule changes for each camp.

Volunteers

I am interested in volunteering, how do I apply?

Do I need to register my child who is under the age of 2 for Yellow School?

Yes. Instructions are available on our volunteers page.

I would like to volunteer in the kitchen, is there an age restriction?

According to BMCR regulations, only individuals ages 14 & older are allowed to volunteer in the kitchen; however, if accompanied by their parent, volunteers between the ages of 6 - 14 are permitted to work in the kitchen.

Are background checks required for ALL volunteers?

Yes! We require all of our volunteers to submit a background check authorization form when they apply to be a volunteer.

You have a Bible college going from September through April; can I still book an event or retreat during that time?

Yes! Please call the BMCR office at 406-328-6825 and ask about what housing is available for the time that you would like to use BMCR for your event or retreat.
